Millaa Millaa Falls is a perfectly circular plunge waterfall that drops into a clear, swimmable pool surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. Consistently ranked among Australia's most beautiful waterfalls, it sits at the start of the famous Waterfall Circuit and draws visitors from across the country for its postcard-perfect combination of green canopy, white cascade, and calm blue water.

The falls drop approximately 18 metres into a wide, shaded swimming hole that is safe for all ages. Grassy picnic areas, free barbecues, change rooms, and public toilets make it a comfortable spot for a half-day visit, and the easy 10-minute walk from the car park is suitable for families with young children and visitors of all fitness levels.

Millaa Millaa is the first and most impressive stop on the Waterfall Circuit, a 16-kilometre loop road that also takes in Zillie Falls and Ellinjaa Falls. The three waterfalls together make for one of the best half-day drives on the Atherton Tablelands, with each waterfall offering a distinct character and swimming opportunity.

Visiting is free, and the area is managed by the Tablelands Regional Council. The falls are at their most dramatic during and after the wet season, roughly November through April, when the flow is at full strength. Early mornings on clear days produce excellent light for photography.
