Suspended above a lush subtropical rainforest, the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk takes visitors on a 1.5-kilometre elevated boardwalk through the Gold Coast hinterland's ancient tree canopy. Open every day of the year except Christmas Day, it combines the thrill of height with close-up views of ferns, vines, and wildlife that are impossible to see from the ground.
The boardwalk winds through several distinct vegetation zones, from open eucalypt forest to dense subtropical rainforest, with sections of the path suspended up to 30 metres above the forest floor. Interpretive signage along the route explains the ecology of the region, making it as educational as it is beautiful.
The attraction also includes a natural rainforest walk at ground level and a gift shop and cafe on site. The self-guided experience suits all fitness levels and takes around 45 to 60 minutes to complete at a leisurely pace.
