Florence Falls is one of Litchfield National Park's most iconic swimming holes, a pair of waterfalls dropping into a large, clear plunge pool ringed by monsoon rainforest. Two routes lead down from the carpark: a direct 160-step descent or a gentler 1-kilometre walk through shady monsoon forest along Florence Creek. The pool is deep enough to swim right up to the base of the falls.

The falls flow year-round but are most spectacular during the wet season and the early dry, when water volume is greatest and the forest surrounding the pool glows with new growth. Both a 2WD campground and a 4WD campground are located at Florence Falls, each with full facilities. A campground host operates on-site during the peak dry season from May to September.

An upstream picnic area provides a shaded alternative to the busier pool precinct, and the Florence Creek walk can be extended along Shady Creek to connect with Buley Rockhole, roughly 3.2 kilometres away. This makes for a satisfying half-day walk combining both swimming spots.

Florence Falls is accessible by 2WD vehicle for most of the year. An NT Parks Visitor Pass is required. Parking can fill quickly on busy dry-season days; overflow parking is available at Buley Rockhole with a walk between the two sites.
