A 1,830 square kilometre park on the mouth of the Murchison River where the red sandstone gorges meet the Indian Ocean. Kalbarri is most famous for Nature's Window, a natural rock arch that frames a bend in the river, and for the Kalbarri Skywalk, a pair of glass-floored walkways cantilevered 100 metres above the gorge.

Kalbarri National Park sits on Nanda country where the Murchison River breaks through 400 million year old Tumblagooda sandstone on its way to the Indian Ocean. The river has carved a 80 kilometre gorge system through the red rock, with a series of viewing points perched on the rim.

Nature's Window is the postcard shot, a natural rock arch at the end of a short clifftop walk that perfectly frames a bend in the river 150 metres below. The Kalbarri Skywalk, opened in 2020, is a pair of glass-floored platforms that extend 17 and 25 metres out over the West Loop gorge, giving a 100 metre drop under your feet. It is fully wheelchair accessible.

The Loop Walk from Nature's Window descends into the gorge and climbs back out along an 8 kilometre rocky circuit, best done in cool weather. The park also extends to the coast, where the Red Bluff, Island Rock and Natural Bridge cliffs plunge into the ocean and the whale watching platforms operate from June to November.
