The National Library of Australia holds one of the world's great collections of Australian documentary heritage, housed in a striking Neoclassical building on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra. The on-site cafe is a popular lunch spot for visitors and library staff alike. Free public talks and events are held regularly, particularly during national events such as History Week and Reconciliation Week.
