Audrey Wilkinson Vineyard
Hillside views, historic vines
schedule 1 min read / Updated Jun 2026
Perched on a gentle rise above the valley floor, Audrey Wilkinson is one of the Hunter Valley's oldest vineyards, with records dating to 1866. Its elevated cellar door commands sweeping views across the vines to the Brokenback Range, making it as much a destination for the scenery as for the award-winning semillon and shiraz poured inside.
The estate at De Beyers Road has been thoughtfully restored to honour its heritage while delivering a polished contemporary tasting experience. A small on-site museum traces the history of winemaking at the property, and is free to explore. The cellar door team guides guests through a focused selection of estate wines, with tastings bookable in advance, essential on weekends when the cellar door regularly reaches capacity.
Beyond the standard tasting, Audrey Wilkinson offers curated experiences including picnics among the vines paired with a wine masterclass and specialty indulgence packages. The surrounding grounds are peaceful and photogenic, with manicured lawns ideal for an afternoon picnic purchased from the cellar door shop. Accommodation is also available on the estate for those wishing to extend their stay.
