Operated by the Jadawadjali and Djab wurrung peoples, Brambuk is the longest-running Aboriginal-owned cultural centre in Australia and the essential first stop for any visit to the Grampians. The award-winning building on Grampians Road doubles as the official Parks Victoria visitor information hub, offering cultural exhibitions, a cafe and expert advice on walking trails and rock art sites.

The distinctive curvilinear architecture of the building, completed in 1990, was designed to reflect the cockatoo, a bird of deep significance to the local peoples, and its flowing forms stand in deliberate contrast to the angular sandstone of the ranges behind it. Inside, displays trace thousands of years of Jadawadjali and Djab wurrung history through artefacts, traditional artworks and interpretive panels that explain the Dreaming stories connected to Gariwerd's landscape features.

Visitors can learn about traditional painting from cultural presenters, hear about the significance of key sites within the park including the Bunjils Shelter rock art. Park rangers based here can advise on current track conditions, closures and wildlife sightings.

Brambuk is located close to Halls Gap township and is free to enter. The centre is accessible by wheelchair throughout.
