Queensland Museum Cobb+Co

The museum's centrepiece is its extraordinary array of horse-drawn vehicles, the finest such collection in Australia, spanning the era when Cobb and Co ran the world's largest stagecoach network. Exhibits explore the stories of the drivers, horses, and passengers who crossed vast distances of colonial Australia, often in harsh and dangerous conditions.

Beyond the carriages, the museum digs into the natural and cultural history of the Darling Downs region, covering Indigenous heritage, pioneering farming, and the social history of Queensland's inland communities. Engaging hands-on displays and regularly changing temporary exhibitions keep return visits fresh for families and history buffs alike.

The museum is part of the Queensland Museum Network and is managed in partnership with Toowoomba Regional Council. Residents of the Toowoomba Regional Council area receive complimentary entry on presentation of proof of address. The museum shop stocks a thoughtful range of books, gifts, and locally made products.
