Rising above McLaren Vale's vine-covered hills like an oversized Rubik's Cube, this iconic building is one of Australia's most photographed wineries. Opened in 2017, the five-level structure houses a tasting room, the Alternate Realities Museum, sensory rooms, and the acclaimed d'Arenberg Cube Restaurant, all framed by sweeping views across the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Designed by fourth-generation winemaker Chester Osborn, the Cube is a bold statement about creativity and wine culture. Its double-tempered glass facades reflect the vineyard landscape while drawing visitors into a labyrinth of interactive exhibits, art installations, and a virtual fermenter. General admission includes a self-guided tour of the museum and access to the tasting room bar, where guests can work through an outstanding portfolio of McLaren Vale reds, whites, and naturals.

The restaurant on the upper levels is a separate, bookable experience earning its own following among food lovers, but the cellar door and museum alone justify the drive south from Adelaide. The estate's Shiraz and Grenache blends have won international acclaim for decades, long before the Cube put d'Arenberg on the global architecture map.
