Four Pillars Gin Distillery
Award-winning craft gin
schedule 1 min read / Updated Jun 2026
Four Pillars Gin launched in 2013 in a small Healesville shed and has grown into one of the most acclaimed craft gin producers in the world. The flagship distillery on Lilydale Road, now in a purpose-built facility opened in 2021, welcomes visitors seven days a week for tastings, gin and tonic paddles, guided distillery tours, and gin masterclasses run by the distilling team.
The distillery is built around custom copper pot stills named Wilma, Jude and Eileen, producing a core range of gins including the flagship Rare Dry Gin, the lush Bloody Shiraz Gin (made with Yarra Valley shiraz grapes), and seasonal releases that change through the year. The tasting room serves paddles that let visitors compare botanicals across the range, and cocktails featuring Four Pillars products sit alongside local beer and wine. No prior booking is required for casual visits, though the guided tasting experience should be reserved in advance.
The on-site bar and restaurant is a lively spot for lunch and afternoon drinks, with a kitchen menu built around share plates. The distillery shop stocks the full range plus limited and export editions not easily found elsewhere. Friday and Saturday nights extend trading, making it a natural hub for evening drinks in Healesville.
