The Cedars is the preserved home and studios of Sir Hans Heysen, one of Australia's most celebrated landscape painters, set on a tranquil property near Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills.

Hans Heysen lived and worked here for more than half a century, and the property remains much as he left it, with original furnishings, his studio and that of his daughter Nora, also an acclaimed artist. Guided tours take in the houses and studios, while the surrounding gardens and gum-studded grounds that inspired so many of his paintings are open to wander.

The property is still cared for by the Heysen family and operates as a not-for-profit house museum.
