For more than 30 years Toboggan Hill Park has been Port Stephens' go-to family amusement venue, built around a 1-kilometre toboggan track with 11 bends that riders can take at their own pace. Located at Salamander Bay near Nelson Bay, the park combines outdoor fun with indoor activities and suits kids and adults alike, whatever the weather.

The flagship toboggan ride uses individual sleds that travel down a purpose-built concrete track through the bush, with speed controlled by a hand brake so riders can go as gently or as quickly as they like. Beyond the toboggan, the park offers mini golf, a giant maze, a tractor train ride, and an indoor zone with rock climbing walls, ice-skating, jumping castles, and arcade games.

Entry to the park costs a modest fee per person, with rides and activities priced separately depending on age. The park typically opens Wednesday to Sunday with extended hours during NSW school holidays. Hours can vary seasonally so it is worth checking ahead.

The park is well set up for birthday parties and group visits, with party packages available on request.
