Tucked at the end of a 2.3-kilometre loop walk from the centre of Halls Gap, Venus Baths is a series of naturally carved freshwater rock pools fed by Stony Creek. The smooth sandstone basins and shaded gorge setting make it one of the most visited natural swimming spots in the Grampians, popular with families on warm days and walkers seeking an easy riverside ramble year-round.

The flat, well-signed track begins near the Halls Gap Botanic Gardens and follows Stony Creek upstream through eucalypt forest, crossing the creek on small wooden bridges. The grade is gentle throughout and the path is suitable for young children and those who want an easy outing. The full loop takes around 45 to 60 minutes at a relaxed pace.

At the baths themselves, the creek flows over wide shelves of smooth sandstone worn into a series of connected pools, some deep enough for swimming. The water is clearest and coolest in spring and early summer after winter rains. Interpretive signs explain the cultural heritage of the gorge.

Venus Baths is free to enter and no booking is required. Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the walking track or in the national park. Swimming is at the visitor's own risk, and the creek can run strongly after heavy rain.
