A four-day food and wine festival in the Margaret River wine region with international chefs, vineyard long-table lunches and Beach BBQ events.

The Margaret River Gourmet Escape is an annual food and wine festival held across four days in mid to late November in the Margaret River wine region, three hours' drive south of Perth. It started in 2012 and has become the premier food tourism event in Western Australia, routinely attracting international celebrity chefs (past lineups have included Nigella Lawson, Rick Stein, Yotam Ottolenghi and Heston Blumenthal) and Australian culinary names.

The festival format includes vineyard long-table lunches, winery tours, chef demonstrations at the central Gourmet Village venue, cooking classes and the famous Gourmet Beach BBQ at Castle Rock Beach. Ticketed events run across the whole region rather than in one central location, which means most visitors need a designated driver or to stay at one of the winery accommodation options.

The festival coincides with the start of the southern spring wildflower season and warm-but-not-yet-hot weather in the south-west, making it an excellent combined food and nature trip.
