All Saints Estate
Castle winery since 1864
schedule 1 min read / Updated Jun 2026
All Saints Estate is one of Australia's oldest and most visually arresting wineries, its turreted castle inspired by the Scottish Castle of Mey and handbuilt from bricks fired on site in 1864. Set on the banks of the Murray River in Wahgunyah, the estate is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register and remains family-owned, today guided by siblings Eliza, Angela, and Nicholas Brown. Two on-site restaurants, a newly refurbished underground cellar, and award-winning fortified wines make it a full-day destination.
The Great Hall once held the Southern Hemisphere's largest wine storage facility, its century-old oak casks still brimming with rare Muscats and Tokays. Visitors can wander through the Still Room, which preserves an 1875 still in original condition, descend into the Dungeon cellar with its original dirt floor, and climb the Tower for a 360-degree view across the vineyards. On weekends, a guided tour departs at 11 am to showcase the refurbished steam engine and the Chinese Dormitory, the last remaining structure of its type in Australia.
The cellar door is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm with no booking required for groups of seven or fewer. A standard estate tasting costs $15 per person and is refundable on a wine purchase, while premium experiences - including the Family Cellar tutored tasting for up to eight people and the Muscat Experience - are available at higher price points. Dining options span the award-winning KIN restaurant (Thursday to Sunday) and the casual Bonnie (Wednesday to Sunday), which also stocks artisan cheeses and local produce.
