The Bellingen Community Markets are held every third Saturday of the month in Bellingen Park, a leafy reserve shaded by old-growth trees at the southern end of the town centre. Over 200 stalls fill the park with handmade crafts, local produce, jewellery, clothing, pottery and street food, with live music on the main stage from 10am to 2pm.

The market has been running for decades and reflects Bellingen's long-standing reputation as a hub for artists, craftspeople and small-scale growers. Stalls cover a broad range, from hand-thrown ceramics and beeswax candles to organic seedlings, fresh local honey and handmade leather goods. Alternative therapies, massage practitioners and community organisations also take space alongside the creative vendors, giving the event a distinctive character that sets it apart from standard tourist markets.

The park setting itself is part of the appeal - the old-growth trees create a natural canopy, and the meandering creek alongside the park adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Proceeds from stall fees are donated back into local community projects. The adjacent Bellingen town centre, with its Federation-era shopfronts, heritage pubs and independent galleries, is worth exploring before or after the market. Parking is available along Hyde Street and surrounding streets.
