schedule 1 min read / Updated Jun 2026

Bellingen and the Waterfall Way corridor stretch from the subtropical coast near Urunga up through World Heritage rainforest to the plateaus above Dorrigo, taking in five national parks along 185 kilometres of winding road. The region is anchored by the heritage village of Bellingen, a creative community on the banks of the Bellinger River, with the escarpment town of Dorrigo serving as the gateway to ancient Gondwana rainforest. Waterfalls, swimming holes, wildlife spectacles and a thriving arts scene make this one of the most varied drives on the NSW North Coast.
