Set on Lake Canobolas Road with views across its own vineyard and heritage orchards, Borrodell Estate is one of Orange's most relaxed and scenic cellar door experiences. The weekend SkyBar draws visitors for wine tastings, grazing platters, and unhurried afternoons on the terrace, all just minutes from Lake Canobolas Reserve.
Tastings offer two formats: a set flight of six wines, or three wines of your choice. Saturday evenings shift the mood to a wine bar atmosphere with local produce plates and a Friday happy hour. The terrace and lawn areas make this one of the most photogenic spots in the region.
Borrodell grows Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling on the property, with elevation and volcanic soils contributing to the wines' characteristic freshness. The estate also produces small quantities of cider from its orchard apples.
Group sizes are capped for tastings, keeping the experience personal. The venue also hosts weddings and private events in the vineyard setting, and a restaurant on site serves seasonal menus that pair well with the estate range.
