Rosalind Park sits at the very centre of Bendigo, a sweeping 19th-century public garden framed by the city's grandest civic architecture. Established on the goldfields boom fortune that shaped the city, the park is home to towering elms and oaks, a fernery, a bandstand, playgrounds, and the iconic poppet head that once served a working gold mine on the very ground where visitors now stroll.

The park takes its name from a character in Shakespeare's As You Like It and was gazetted in the 1850s during Bendigo's most prosperous era. Its mature tree collection includes English elms, plane trees, and oaks planted in the Victorian era, creating a genuine canopy that makes it a cool retreat in summer. The ornamental fernery in the lower section of the park is one of the finest surviving examples of Victorian-era fernery architecture in regional Australia.

The poppet head, the headframe of a former gold mine shaft, stands as an arresting reminder that the park itself was once industrial ground. The poppet head can be viewed up close and remains one of Bendigo's most photographed landmarks.

Rosalind Park connects directly to View Street and Pall Mall, placing it within easy walking distance of the city's main dining, shopping, and heritage precincts. The park is open around the clock and is free to enter.
