Stanton and Killeen Wines is one of only six Muscat houses in the world to produce all four tiers of the Muscat of Rutherglen classification, from Classic through to Rare, each tier revealing a deeper layer of complexity accumulated across decades in old oak barrels. Jack Stanton built the original winery in 1925 using re-purposed materials, and the family line was joined in 1948 when Norman Killeen married Joan Stanton. Today, mother-and-daughter team Wendy and Natasha Killeen oversee seven generations of continuous family winemaking at the same Jacks Road address.

The cellar door atmosphere is intimate and unhurried, with the speakeasy area - surrounded by century-old barrels - available for private tastings and group experiences. A $10 tasting fee applies and is refunded with any bottle purchase. Behind-the-scenes winery tours, muscat blending sessions, and regional grazing platters (requiring 48 hours' notice) round out a visit that rewards anyone serious about fortified wine. The estate is also known for alternative Portuguese varieties and robust Rutherglen red table wines.

The winery is open every day from 10 am to 4 pm (closed Christmas Day only), with no booking required for individuals and small groups. Jacks Road is a short drive south of Rutherglen's main street, passing through vineyard country typical of the region. The venue is dog-friendly on the grounds and has ample space for private gatherings.
