Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, meaning to look from the sand dune in Pitjantjatjara, is the national park's dedicated sunrise and sunset viewing area, offering an uninterrupted panorama across to both Uluru and Kata Tjuta from elevated dune platforms. It is the most popular spot in the park at dawn, and one of the quietest at dusk. The site includes two short wheelchair-accessible cultural walks and full picnic facilities.

The viewing platforms sit on a red sand dune ridge with open sightlines to the east and west, making the area equally suited to morning and evening visits. At sunrise the first rays strike the rippled face of Uluru and send long shadows across the desert floor; at sunset the whole rock face deepens through orange to purple before the light drops. Photographers frequently find compositions that include both Uluru and Kata Tjuta in the same frame.

Two looping walks depart from the central shelter area. The Minymaku Walk (Women's Walk, 1 km, 30 minutes) explores Anangu women's traditional work and children's games. The Watiku Walk (Men's Walk, 1.5 km, 45 minutes) covers men's tool-making and hunting practices. Both are wheelchair accessible and interpretive signs are in English and Pitjantjatjara.

The site has water, toilets and a picnic area. It is a 35-minute drive from Yulara. No additional entry is required beyond the standard park pass. Arriving 45 minutes before sunrise is recommended during busy seasons to secure a viewing platform spot.
