Wangi Falls is the most accessible and most visited swimming hole in Litchfield National Park, a large, permanently flowing waterfall tumbling into a wide, deep pool surrounded by monsoon forest and a broad grassed picnic area. The paved path from the carpark to the water's edge makes it suitable for visitors of all mobility levels, with a handrail and steps into the pool.

The falls flow all year round, fed by springs on the Tabletop Range escarpment. A 1.7-kilometre circuit walk climbs through monsoon rainforest and up stairs to a viewpoint on the escarpment rim, offering a bird's-eye perspective of the falls and pool below before looping back to the carpark. The walk is graded moderate and takes around 45 minutes.

The Wangi Falls Cafe operates from the picnic precinct, serving hot and cold food with outdoor undercover seating, a practical amenity on a hot Top End day. Gas barbecues and picnic tables are available free of charge. A campground with toilets, showers and caravan access is located nearby, with a campground host present during the peak season from May to September.

Despite being the most popular site in the park, Wangi retains a genuine sense of place. The pool is deep and the water is clear. Visitors should note that swimming directly at the base of the waterfall is not permitted for safety reasons. An NT Parks Visitor Pass is required.
